The average American spends five hours a day watching TV. This is 35 hours per week. This sounds like a lot, right? How much time do you spend watching TV in a day?
If this is what you want to do and are completely content with how things are going in your life, there is nothing wrong with it. However, I hear a lot people say that they would like to exercise more, learn a new skill, or advance in their career but do not have enough time. Is this really the case?
You Have Enough Time.
If you are only watching TV an hour a day instead of five, this is still seven hours a week that you could be using to accomplish your goals. If you worked out an hour each day, do you think you would be in better shape? How about seven days a week for a whole year? I bet you would be.
You Have To Sacrifice.
In order to accomplish your goals, you have to make a sacrifice. There is no easy button. Too many times we are quick to make an excuse as to why we are not accomplishing our goals. You can always cut out other things that are not as important as the goal you are trying to reach. There are always options.
I have talked about this before, but by saying yes to something you are saying no to something else. You have to figure out what is important to you and how important that really is. If you really want to make a change or reach a goal, you can do it. You just have to make that commitment. No excuses.
